An action aimed at strengthening the fight against syphilis among the population of Ceará. It is with this premise that the State Department of Health of Ceará (SESA-CE) is holding a public selection process for the hiring of health scholars, through a joint action with the Syphilis No Project, the main national initiative for the confrontation of syphilis in Brazil.

The announcement foresees the selection of three researcher profiles. The first one has as a goal “to develop research activities at state level focusing on the prevention and control of Syphilis in Ceará”, with requirements that the candidate must be a resident in the city of Fortaleza and have 12 weekly hours to dedicate to the proposed activities.

The second profile contemplates municipal actions, with emphasis on the cities of Crato or Maranguape, also with 12 weekly hours of dedication to activities and that the candidate must preferably have experience with management or monitoring and execution of a project for the prevention and control of sexually transmitted infections.

The third profile aims at the selection of a researcher who will work as a consultant at state and municipal level, who lives in Fortaleza, has 4 hours weekly availability, experience with coordination and execution of syphilis prevention and control projects at national and international level, as well as experience in research and intervention projects in the area of Sexually Transmitted Infections with the Ministry of Health.

The scholarship amounts are R$ 2 thousand (profile 1), R$ 1,600 (profile 2) and R$ 1,400 (profile 3), with no employment relationship or service compensation.
