The programming school’s main goal is to train new researchers to develop systems for the Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Health (LAIS) and the public health system. Students work through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method. PBL is a pedagogical methodology consisted in student-focused teaching and problem solving. Therefore, students develop software and applications for solving real internal issues in the University Hospital, public health system, LAIS and the School itself, with the supervision of two tutors. It is a mutual gain. Hospital departments need a tool to solve their problems and students need practice to learn how to develop systems.
