The OpenPACS project was the first work accomplished by the Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Healthcare (LAIS) in partnership with Onofre Lopes University Hospital (HUOL) with the proposal to add solutions in RIS (Radiology Information System) and HIS (Hospital Information System) at hospital technological structure.
The OpenPACS project is responsible for managing and storing image scans via a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) database, from capturing images on radiological examination equipment to delivering and viewing content on healthcare professionals’ computers.
OpenTelediagnostico, OpenForms, OpenRH, OpenMedVideo, OpenBIMED are some of the tools for telehealth and RIS practices developed by the project.
