The Virtual Learning Environment of SUS (AVASUS) aims to contribute to the training of workers, management and assistance in the Unified Health System (SUS). AVASUS was conceived by the Ministry of Health and developed by the Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Health (LAIS), in partnership with the Secretariat of Distance Education (SEDIS) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte.
Bringing education, technology and health together, the virtual learning platform offers completely free courses provided by distance education (DE) institutions throughout Brazil for students, health professionals from all areas and also for the population in general. The participants receive a free course certificate for each completed educational module.
