The Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Health of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (LAIS / UFRN), in partnership with the Ministry of Health, launched on Wednesday (15) the course “Instructions for the execution of the rapid test for the detection of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 ”, through the AVASUS platform. It is the sixth module of the training trail developed by the laboratory to train professionals and the general population, in order to face the new coronavirus.
According to researcher Leonardo Lima, one of the organizers of the course, the expectation is to train health professionals who will be at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19, carrying out rapid tests both in the public and in the private health network.
With a simple and didactic language, the module complements a series of actions, such as other courses developed by LAIS, in partnership with bodies such as the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the Ministry of Health, as well as state health departments and municipalities.
For professor Ricardo Valentim, LAIS coordinator, the course fulfills an important social function for the training of professionals working in the fight against the coronavirus. “It is super important at this point to expand the testing of people. Due to the relevance of this course, which arrives as a solution to train health professionals from all over Brazil.
