The community health agent has a primary role in tackling the new coronavirus. With this in mind, the Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Health at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte developed the booklet “Guidelines for the day-to-day lives of families and suggestions for the educational health action of the Community Health Agent on the Protection of the Elderly at home in times of COVID-19 ”, with information and guidelines to be adopted in health monitoring and education for the general population.
The action is a partnership between LAIS, the Ministry of Health, the RN Solidariedade Covid-19 Group, the UFRN Secretariat for Distance Education (SEDIS), the UFRN Center for Public Health Studies (NESC) and the Government of State of Rio Grande do Norte.
The booklet provides information on care for the elderly, as well as prevention actions during the visit by the community health agent.
