It will take place on December 5th and 6th, at the Holiday Inn Hotel, in Natal, the First National Research and Innovation Seminar (SENAPI). The event is a promotion of the Health Technology Innovation Laboratory (LAIS) in partnership with the Ministry of Health. The guiding theme will be “Technology-Mediated Education and its Impacts on Health Services in Brazil”.

In the seminar will be presented research developed in the area, lectures and discussions on the subject. There will also be the launch of the course “Community Health Volunteer Activity in Rural Locations”, developed through LAIS international cooperation action in Tanzania. The activity will be attended by the delegation of the African country, composed by doctors Patrick Fabian Bukwimba and Francis Ernest Nyakamwe, as well as the missionary Rafael Barbosa da Silva.

The course will be available through the SUS Virtual Learning Environment (AVASUS), a platform developed by UFRN through LAIS for the training of SUS professionals and users. The full schedule is available HERE.

Book release
The program also includes the launch of the books: “Mediated Training: impacts of AVASUS on health services” and “Technology-mediated education in SUS: a challenge for the present, a need for the future”. The publications were produced by LAIS researchers in partnership with the UFRN Department of Distance Education.
