Implemented in 2018, the Academic Management System of the Network of Technical Schools of the SUS (RET-SUS) has been undergoing updates since June 2022. The platform has been receiving new features to meet the demands of users and provide more dynamism to the processes involving the management area of the courses offered. From September 26 to 30, 2022, the team from the Health Technological Innovation Laboratory of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (LAIS/UFRN), which works on the system, received an important reinforcement for this work.

The researcher from the Instituto Capixaba de Ensino, Pesquisa e Inovação em Saúde (ICEPi), Saulo Caliman, participated this week in a technological immersion workshop in Natal/RN to deepen his knowledge about the Academic Management System. Saulo Caliman evaluated the results of this exchange: “at ICEPi, we use the SGA and I think it will be very good for me to have had this contact and share experiences with these professionals”.

The researcher from Espírito Santo refers to the LAIS/UFRN researchers, Fabiano Papaiz and Pierre Freire, who make up the team responsible for implementing the novelties in this platform. Fabiano Papaiz explains how these tasks were started: “together with our users, from the public health schools, we raised some demands, some functionalities that were necessary, some points that needed to be corrected, and we are developing them”.

As a result of this work, the new user profile and the customized certificate issue have already been developed. One of the next steps is to create the modeling of the monthly report that is used by resident students in the Medicine course. “These improvements, corrections, and adjustments should meet the needs of users and thus contribute to the evolution of this tool,” concluded Papaiz.
