An Angel for ALS

The project is a remote monitoring tool for the vital signs of patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), using hardware and software solutions to carry out this activity both in hospital and residential beds, as well as a way to assist the health team in decision-making.

For this, the system makes use of sensors that are connected to the patient, whose information is analyzed and stored in a database that can be consulted both remotely, through the cloud in an application, and locally in the equipment itself, through a display. The system, through the analysis of the collected data, will issue alerts in situations considered at risk, informing the caregiver and the clinical follow-up team of the patient’s situation so that appropriate measures can be taken.
