Digit in Noise Testing

An activity that aims at the translation, cross-cultural adaptation, validation and accuracy of the TDR in Brazilian Portuguese in all age groups, for the identification of hearing impairment and central auditory processing disorders. It allows for care and follow-up in Primary Care, with early screening to avoid later consequences in relation to auditory disorders.

In Primary Care, its function is to contribute to the identification of hearing impairment and auditory processing disorder at different ages with mobile, accessible, low-cost technology, which can be applied in basic health units. By means of an early intervention, through screening, it refers identified patients to treatment, contributing to the resoluteness of the SUS (Brazilian Health System) in the care of people with hearing impairment and auditory processing disorder.
