The Neuroaudiology project is focused on the diagnosis and intervention of alterations found in central auditory processing, which is a sequence of mental operations that the individual performs when dealing with information received aurally, in children with acquired syphilis and HIV.
Diagnosis is made using psychoacoustic and electrophysiological measures. These measures are fundamental in the differential diagnosis and can help in the best therapeutic indication and guidance to the family and school, in the case of children.
